There are some great new books out there. Of course we love The Orange Book. It tells you where the oranges on a tree end up. You can purchase it at DWR. Check out all their books. Another favorite is a book by artist Michael Robert's called Snowman in Africa. You can buy it on the Gucci website, and all the proceeds go to UNICEF. Gifting and giving at the same time, a great idea.
Lego has come out with some fantastic new designs. Our favorite is the Taj Mahal. Amazing. You are guaranteed to lose some pieces! But they also have some smaller
buildings like the John Hancock Tower from Chicago and the Empire State Building, or the Guggenheim and Falling Water.
Check out these super cool wooden blocks. With roots in 60's pop culture and inspired by Sgt. Pepper, these blocks encourage endless creativity. The website has lots of other cool stuff for kids too, like a kooky Caterpillar backpack. Fun stuff.
We love the quilts from Haptic Lab with maps of neighborhoods or city grids. And they can do custom work as well. The website showcases all the work she does including some installations. Our favorite is the mini quilt that you could also hang on the wall as art.
